Kenton Hall

Lead Editor

 Kenton is a Canadian actor, author, musician and screenwriter. From 2000 - 2010, he was the primary songwriter and singer for the band, ist, releasing three critically-acclaimed albums. In 2010, his award-winning debut short film as writer and director Bus Stop, Wet Day was released. As an actor he appeared in Les Miserables, Muppets Most Wanted, Amityville Asylum and The Midnight Horror Show. In 2015, his feature debut as writer & director A Dozen Summers was released to UK cinemas, before being picked up by Netflix. He is also the author of the comic memoir, Bisection, wrote new English versions of the Swedish children's detective series Agaton Sax and has written stories for the licensed Doctor Who spinoff series UNIT.  On audio, he co-wrote the 10-part Audible Original series Getting Better: The Fight for the NHS and the forthcoming audio sitcom The Council as well as script editing the sci-fi comedy series Venna's Planet


Kenton and Elliot have worked together on multiple projects for Chinbeard Books and are pleased to bring together for Memory Hive their respective passion for writing and eye for detail.

Elliot Thorpe

 Elliot is a freelance writer and editor, having previously worked for Starlog and written for Encore (the magazine for the theatre professional), as well as the sites denofgeek.com, shadowlocked.com, doctorwhotv.co.uk, redshirtsalwaysdie.com and trekthis.co.uk. He scripted the licensed Doctor Who audio drama Cryptobiosis for Big Finish in 2005 and in 2013, his first novel Cold Runs the Blood was published. He also has contributions in Seasons of War: Tales from a Time War (2015), Grave Matters (2015), Doctor Who – A Time Lord for Change (2016), The Librarian (2017), The Wretched Man (2020) and Sherlock Holmes -The Woman Who Wasn’t (2022). For many years he enjoyed a working relationship with the West End production of The Definitive Rat Pack and in 2017 co-wrote Just Dino – A Recollection of Dean Martin with Bernard H Thorpe, which was expanded and re-released the following year as Dean Martin – Recollections. Dean Martin’s Movie Moments, Dean Martin – A Discography and For The Good Times - The Dean Martin Compendium were subsequently published. He has written a number of official Robin of Sherwood continuation novellas and is a long-term regular columnist for the San Francisco-based magazine Search. He is also president of The Dean Martin Association. His latest novel World War When was published in 2022.


He was inspired to create Memory Hive after working on his father's posthumous autobiography.
